See below for a delicious banana nut bread made with Green from Greece olive oil & Cretan thyme honey.

  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup Green from Greece olive oil 
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/4 cup of Coconut milk, or milk of choice
  • 1/2 cup Cretan Thyme Honey 
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch sea salt
  • 1 Tablespoon flax seed
  • Optional: Chopped walnuts


  1. Preheat the oven to 330 degrees. In a large bowl, whisk together the oil, honey, milk, and eggs. Add the mashed bananas, and whisk to combine.
  2. In another bowl, add the dry ingredients. Add the dry ingredients to the wet, and gently fold in the nuts.
  3. Pour batter into a large greased loaf pan. Bake for 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let the pan cool before cutting the bread.
  4. Serve with Cretan thyme honey over the top.

  •  8 slices of stale bread with no crust
  • 200gr of white salted fish roe from haddock (taramas)
  • 1/2 cup finally grated dry onion
  • 1 1/2 cups Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • lemon juice from 1 medium lemon
  • a pinch of white pepper



Add in a food processor the roe, the onion and 1/3 of the olive oil and turn on for a few seconds. 

Continue slowly and add the bread slowly. 

Then add the remaining olive oil slowly.

When all the olive oil has been mixed, add the lemon juice and pepper slowly. 

Add slowly the lemon juice to achieve the desired taste.

Put in a bowl and garnish with olives and 1 tablespoon olive oil.

It can be kept in a sealed jar in the fridge. 

Is delicious on bread. 

It goes well with grilled fish, sea food, green salads and Greek ouzo of course. 


100 g taramosalata yield approximately 450-500 calories (1 tablespoon fish roe salad represents about 120 calories).


It is extremely rich in phosphorus and potassium, contributing to the proper functioning of vision and heart.

However, it is also rich in sodium (salt) so it is advisable to limit its consumption by those with hypertension.

Α Mediterranean diet healthy recipe of for easy and quick meal


  • 500gr dried spaghetti 
  • 100gr extra virgin olive oil 
  • 5 to 8 cloves garlic chopped 
  • 3 to 4 crushed red hot chili peppers (not the band)
  • 1/2 cup chopped flat-leaf parsley 
  • 200gr grated cheese (add more if you desire)
  • Salt 


In a large pot boil water, add salt.

Add spaghetti and cook as much as stated on the packaging. 

Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. 

Add peppers and garlic as flakes and cook until the garlic begins to lightly brown, approximately 3 minutes. 

Serve the pasta in large platter and drizzle with scented oil. 

Add the parsley and the grated cheese and toss well.

Pandesia Salad with green olive oil

Ingredients for two servings

  • 2 green apples (about 400 gr.)
  • 2 boiled potatoes (300 gr.)
  • 100 gr. fresh pineapple
  • 150 gr. yoghurt
  • 100 gr. mayonnaise
  • 40 gr. grated walnuts
  • 2 toast slices white bread toast

Garnishing materials

  • 2 Lola salad leaves red
  • 10gr Salad Rocket
  • 10gr Curly endive
  • 10gr Red pepper
  • 10gr Fried tortilla spinach
  • 30gr Fresh green olive oil

Preparation - Execution recipe

Peel the apples and rub on a coarse grater.
Boil the potatoes and cut into small cubes. Also cut the pineapple into small cubes. In a bowl, mix the yogurt with the mayonnaise and nuts. Add the apples, potatoes and pineapple and mix.
Arrange the slice of toast in the base of the dish. Spread a height of 1.5 cm. the sauce with apples and other materials.
Garnish with fresh salad on top. Drizzle with fresh green olive oil.
